A new membranefor an existing pool

The pool you already have, re-lined in reinforced PVC membrane — the same welded surface as a new installation, over the shell that is already there.

A renovation is the same membrane work as a new installation — underlay, membrane welded seam by seam, steps and fittings done by hand — over a pool that has already been swum in.

What is under the membrane has to be right first. On our second pool in Canada the owners corrected all the issues beneath the membrane before we started; the new surface went on after that, and the pool has a new look — and no leaks.

In most cases we work as subcontractors for pool companies, and several of them have already invited us back for multiple projects.

The shell first, then the surface

A membrane takes the shape of whatever it is laid over. That is why, before we start, the pool is reviewed as it is — its history, its condition, what has been done to it before — and why the estimate is prepared by us and not generated from a square footage.

Our second pool in Canada

Repaired one summer, redone the next

Below is our second pool in Canada, although it could also be considered roughly our tenth. We still count it as our second.

The pool was originally completed in 2023, but the membrane was poorly installed. Before we were called, two attempts had already been made to repair it, but the leak remained. In the summer of 2025, we repaired it. It was leaking badly. The repairs took us six days. We rewelded almost all the seams, removed some wrinkles, cut out the membrane around the fittings, welded in new patches and reinstalled all the flanges. The leaks stopped.

The owners trusted us and invited us back the following season to redo the entire pool with a new membrane. They also corrected all the issues beneath the membrane before we started. Now the pool has a new look — and no leaks, of course.
