Privacy policy

This policy covers pvcpools.ca, run by Membrane Surfaces Inc. (PVC Pools), 106 Woodbridge Ave, Unit 205, Woodbridge ON L4L 2S7. Questions about your information go to info@pvcpools.ca.

When you request an estimate

The estimate form asks for your name, email address, phone number, what you want to tell us about the pool, and up to six photographs. All of it is sent to us as one email, with the photographs attached, and you receive an automatic email confirming that the request arrived.

The photographs are not stored on the website. The server reads them into memory, attaches them to the email and deletes them.

To stop one address from sending the same request again and again, the website counts requests for one hour. It keeps a one-way hash of your IP address for that, not the address itself, and drops the count after the hour.

When you ask for an invoice or payment details

The request forms on the Payment page send us the email address and the details you type, and we answer by email. Our banking details are never shown on a page; they are sent only to the email address given in the request.

Spam protection

Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated scripts. Cloudflare processes information about your browser to do that, under the Cloudflare privacy policy.

Analytics

The pages of this website use Google Analytics 4 to count visits: which pages were opened, roughly from which city, on what kind of device, and whether an estimate request was sent. It sets the cookies _ga and _ga_DMM5RZCDBN. We do not send your name, email, phone number or anything you type in a form to Google Analytics. You can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, and Google describes its use of the data in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

We run no advertising pixels and sell no information to anyone.

Google Maps

The Contact and Reviews pages show our location on an embedded Google map. When the map loads, Google may set its own cookies, as described in the Google privacy policy.

Your information

Requests reach us by email and stay in our mailbox for our work and our records. You can ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to info@pvcpools.ca.
