The deck in thesame membrane
Pool decks and surrounds covered in the same reinforced PVC membrane systems as the pool, welded on site and laid up to the water’s edge.
The deck around a pool can be covered in the same reinforced PVC membrane as the pool itself — so the water, its edge and the surface people walk on are one material, welded on site.
The photographs below are our own decks: a textured strip beside the water, a chevron pattern welded from two colours, a resort deck with loungers on it. Which product suits a deck is decided per project, from the sample books of RENOLIT, Poolside by CGT and SOPREMA.

Welded up to the water’s edge
A deck membrane is welded seam by seam the same way the pool is, and finished at the edge of the pool. The photograph is the final PVC membrane weld on a pool deck after twelve years of working in Russia — the pool that was our last project there.

A pattern on a membrane deck is made of pieces of membrane in two colours, cut and welded together on site. The chevron in the photograph is one; the sample books show the colours and textures each manufacturer makes.
